The PTMC is an assessment tool for an Enterprise to be able to assess its Transformation Capability.

Many Enterprises do not take such an overall view and as such, tend to change parts of their Transformation Capability without understanding how the part they are changing fits into the whole Transformation Capability. And let's not forget, that it is the whole end to end Transformation Capability that is important to the C-Suite, not its parts. This usually results in one part being improved with little overall effect on improvement. This tends to be because the part feeding the part that was improved, is not of sufficient quality, or because the part that receives the output of the part that was improved, is not of sufficient quality.
